皇家委员会建议强化法制监管工会

“工会反腐败皇家调查委员会” 在去年底发佈的年终调查报告指出，澳洲现今面临工会官员的欺诈、滥用职权与威胁等严重问题。　与此同时，维州警方也发现，建筑工会和摩托车犯罪集团有着千丝万缕的关係，并共同涉及纠察和威胁等行为。

有鑑于此，推动改革并建立强大的建筑业监管制度，用之禁止工会官员收受秘密款项、惩处违法工会官员方为当务之急。

我们需要推动这些改革，这些可让澳大利亚变得更可靠也更有竞争力的改革，这些可带来更多投资、就业机会及国家繁荣的改革。

Royal Commission recommends stronger laws for union officials

 

The final report of the Trade Unions Royal Commission was published late last year.

 

It found that Australia has a serious problem with threats, fraud and abuse of office by many union officials.

 

As well, a Victoria Police report has found that members of criminal bikie gangs are involved in the construction industry union and take part in pickets and making threats.

 

It is therefore important that Senate passes the Australian government’s reforms to bring back a strong building industry regulator, prohibit union officials from taking secret payments and disqualify union official who defy the law.

 

We need these changes so that Australia can be a reliable and competitive place to invest and to create jobs and prosperity.
