文化的傳承，歷史的重任
我上週很榮幸地連同中華群義會的朋友、支持者和會員們一起參加澳大利亞中華群義會在 Springvale 舉辦的 20 週年慶典。 慶祝活動中醒獅團華麗的舞獅表演不啻是 “群義”能被推舉為墨爾本最具代表性舞獅團之一的主要原因。
舞獅的重要性不僅可在新的國家裡傳承來自家鄉的文化， 更可在教育下一代人中華文化傳統之餘也給來自不同背景的澳洲人有個令人興奮且又豐富多采了解中華文化的寶貴體驗。
我在此恭賀會長 Peter Wong 及中華群義會所有成員們至今為止所取得的優異成績，更對中華群義會未來鵬程萬里的發展獻上我最真摯的祝福。

Congratulations to Qun Yi Lion Dancers
I was honoured last week to attend the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Australia Zhong Hua Qun Li Lion Dance Association in Springvale, together with many other friends, supporters and members of the Association.
The magnificent lion dance performances at the celebrations showed why the Association is highly regarded as one of the leading lion dance groups in Melbourne.
Lion dances are important not only to continue traditions in a new country, but also to teach younger generations about their heritage and to provide Australians of all backgrounds with an exciting and colourful introduction to Chinese culture
My congratulations to President Peter Wong and all the members of the Association on all they have achieved, and my best wishes to the Association for many successful years ahead.
