Local design firm helped to go global

Canterbury company Allori has received a grant for up to $2,500 to develop export opportunities under the Victorian Coalition Government’s Export Design Program, Member for Box Hill Robert Clark announced today.

Allori, a digital design firm in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector, received the grant to meet with prospective clients in Canada and the US.

“I would like to congratulate Allori on receiving this grant and wish it every success in its efforts to secure new export markets,” Mr Clark said.

Launched in 2013, the Export Design Program is part of the Victorian Government’s $10 million Victorian Design Initiatives 2012-15 and provides grants of between $2,500 and $10,000 to support Victorian design-focused businesses to explore overseas markets and secure export opportunities.

“The Export Design Program supports Victorian companies from a broad range of design and design-related industries to take part in international trade fairs and expos, meet with international buyers and carry out export market research,” Mr Clark said.

“These companies include some of Victoria’s most innovative and successful design businesses operating in sectors including fashion, publishing, digital design, marine, product design and engineering and architectural services.”

The program recognises the quality and versatility of Victorian designers and, by building more successful and internationally-focused design businesses, will increase Victoria’s global profile with prospective clients and markets.
