工會獅子大開口要求20% 加薪
自從工黨政府一再對工會不合理要求予取予求以來,用罷工來達到加薪目的的新聞就不絕於耳。維州公務員工會也趕上潮流並要求政府給予大幅度的加薪。
CPSU工會提出四年內加薪 20% 並增加更多的年假以及提升薪資發放的等級來獲得 20% 加薪以外更進一步的加薪。
員工皆有權為其所做的工作爭取並獲得合理薪資調整,但卻不應依賴工會可對政府施壓的力度來決定加薪的幅度。政府能使用的毎一分錢都來自於人民的稅收,也因此當政府對工會無理取鬧的漫天開價要求予取予求時,最終受苦的還是老百姓。
可想而知的是在工會獅子大開口的加薪後,最終維州的家庭卻要為這樣離譜的要求買單, 其結果不外是稅賦的調漲或服務品質的降低。 無論那種結果對老百姓都是極不公平。

Victorian public service union demands 20% pay rise
Victoria’s public service union has become the latest to demand massive pay rises from the state government.
The union (the CPSU) is seeking a 20% pay rise over four years, plus more annual leave, plus every worker to be promoted up two pay scales.
Workers are entitled to fair and reasonable pay rises for the work they do, but workers’ pay rises shouldn’t depend on how much pressure their union can put on the government.
When the government gives to outrageous union demands, ordinary Victorian families end up paying the price through higher taxes or cuts to services.
